Beauty Role Model - Eva Mendes

Yes, she is hot! And guess what? While I was researching Eva Mendes “beauty secrets” I discovered that Eva herself had a beauty role model when younger: Cindy Crawford. And one can definitely see Cindy's influence in Eva's look nowadays. More recently Eva is inspired by Sophia Loren as a classic reference and Salma Hayek as a more modern one. For me, Eva has this look that balance the powerful scary woman look – who needs to be fabulous all the time, always well groomed with perfect make up and sexy perfum – with the girl next door look. She is forty one now, mother of one, and she still looks stunning with a perfect skin and body. I picked Eva for my list here because she becomes more and more beautiful with age! She does not have the perfect face but she hell learned how to bring her best and that is what I tried to find out here. So, let's see what Eva Mendes does to treat her so well along these years!

Body

Eva exercises at least three days a week “no matter what”, she says. She does weight training (about an hour) to keep the muscle and she is now working on sprinting (running over a short distance at top speed) and running for cardio for about 35 minutes. She also does yoga twice a week. Eva says she has to work very hard to keep toned.

Food

Eva eats of everything but in moderation. She tries to go for health whole food. And she does drink a lot of water in a “inside out” philosophy. She uses to drink warm water with lemon first thing in the morning as a way to remember drinking water for the rest of the day. Eva eats carbs, but she tries to stay out of the white ones and always go for the brown version. Eva does not eat red meat, but she eats a lot of fish.

Skin

Eva names many different products and brands for her skin. However, I judged the information unreliable since she is the ad-girl of all of them. What she says consistently and probably without any bias is about the coconut oil, since she never indicate a particular brand. She uses coconut oil for almost everything, face and body skin and also for the hair. She also truly believes that keeping hydrated, well rested and with a good nutrition contribute a lot for the skin health.
Regarding her daily skincare, Eva said in one of the interviews that she does not wash her face. She said that in the same interview she speaks about some of her beauty and style inspirations, particularly she named Salma Hayek who says her beauty secret for skincare is never wash the face only some watering. Besides in all pictures we can find from Eva she is with a perfect skin I can't really tell how it is since Eva says she wears make up every day. She starts with a stained moisturiser followed by pink cheek stain and concealer, according to her, she suffers with dark circles, and then she pays special attention to the eyes, never lining outer the corners.

Style
Eva does love a pencil skirt with heels. And she seems also to like a vintage style, from dressing to hair. She keeps a long voluminous 50's style hair forever and she loves going to the Salvation Army and Goodwill to look for clothes to wear in a more modern style.  I, particularly, find her attractive when wearing a more modern style, mixing well with her 50's Latin body, face and hair.

Summing up
Then, to sum up. For exercising, Eva does cardio (running most of the time) and weight at least three days a week and yoga twice a week. For eating, moderation is the word, as long you can control yourself you can eat whatever you want. For the skin, coconut oil and no soap. And style...come on, achieving a body like hers, anything goes well!
